Suzanne Hodges
Born and raised in Cornwall,Suzanne started her musical education with W.J.Russel Kessell, followed by Paul Comeau and subsequently started to accompany local soloists and performing groups in Music Festivals and Concerts throughout Cornwall, before joining the Cornwall Rural Music School as a piano teacher. She moved to South Wales in 1994 to attend the Welsh College of Music and Drama,Cardiff as a postgraduate student,and found employment with the County of Cardiff and Vale of Glamorgan Music Service in 1995 as a peripatetic keyboard teacher.
Suzanne joined the Maesteg Gleemen M.V.C.in 1996 as accompanist at both the piano and organ,and continues to travel wherever they need her! Highlights of performing with the Gleemen include competing twice at the Llangollen International Eisteddfod playing for Guan Yang (Winner of the prestigious Cardiff Singer of the World) when she sang in Concert with the Gleemen in Maesteg Town Hall,taking 'The Boys' Back to sing in Cornwall in the Eden Project;and of course in 2008,accompanying the 'best ensemble on stage' (New York Times) in Carnegie Hall,New York after a most memorable 50th Anniversary tour of Canada and the U.S.A.
